Earlier today we’ve rolled out a major update to our back-end infrastructure. Much of our work was dedicated to optimizing and improving the update times, but we’ve also managed to squeeze in a frequently requested feature: reporting subscription counts for AideRSS filtered feeds. Many publishers have wrote to us asking for feed subscriber counts and I’m happy to say that all feed updates will now carry this information in the User-Agent string of our spiders. (ex: ‘AideRSS/1.1; 43 subscribers’)
As well, we’ve been in touch with the folks at FeedBurner, and they have integrated AideRSS counts into their reporting system. Which translates into more accurate subscriber counts for every publisher, wohoo!
