Several coffee pots and one productive weekend later, we’re happy to roll out an entire suite of updates to our codebase:
RDF (RSS 1.0) support
- We’ve extended AideRSS to fully support RDF/RSS 1.0 and Dublin Core Metadata initiatives. Big thank you goes to all the beta testers who have helped us test-drive the new system.
xml:base and relative URI support
- Daniel Aleksandersen gave us the lead on this one. Some Atom and RSS 1.0 feeds use xml:base to set the base URI for all internal links, and we’re happy to say that AideRSS will now properly handle these cases.
Other:
- Improved XML detection & recovery for malformed feeds.
- Faster & more frequent feed updates across the entire site.
