Staffing your company with rock star developers is all well and good, but all those brains and opinions need the guiding hand of strong leadership. A steely-eyed, iron-willed law man who can wrangle strategic planning single-handedly and eats pesky build glitches for breakfast. Enter Jim Murphy.
Though he rode into town on a motorcycle rather than a spirited palomino, as our new VP Development, Jim won’t be wasting any time applying his know-how, creativity, and discipline to planning, operations, and support here at AideRSS.
An ex-pat for 13 years, we’d like to welcome Jim and his family back to southwestern Ontario from the Boston area. Jim comes to AideRSS from Mindreef, a software company that provides Web services quality and diagnostic infrastructure to companies at the intersection of the Internet, SaaS and enterprise computing.
Jim is well suited to start-up life, having worn many hats in the software business, including developer, architect, evangelist, business development, author, speaker, product manager, and market strategist. Jim brings his experience and passion for early stage companies to his new role, and we’re pretty excited for him to whip us into shape. (Not that we were unshapely slackers before or anything.)
Jim and Ilya will be working together closely to keep things running smoothly, but also to determine the best strategy for AideRSS and our PostRank technologies in the future.
We hope they’ll still take time to join us cowpokes down at the saloon for a sarsaparilla from time to time. Welcome aboard, Jim!
