And AideRSS is a key partner!
So what is it?
The CM Toolbox is the industry’s first open conversational marketing measurement platform for tracking and analyzing conversational marketing campaigns.
Basically, marketing has changed, thanks to the Internet. It’s become a lot more interactive and conversational (companies aim to talk with you rather than just at you).
However, this means that traditional methods of monitoring and measuring marketing efforts — like campaigns — don’t work very well anymore. And until now there hasn’t been a great replacement set of tools to manage campaign rollouts and measure their performance.
FM has developed a detailed methodology for measuring campaign success by organizing campaign data into Engagement, Amplification and Equity categories. Organized in this way, the CM Toolbox helps brands and agencies understand the effectiveness of their conversational marketing activities with a customized, dynamic portal through which marketers can view all potential marketing metrics and data points.
AideRSS’ PostRank technology fits into the Engagement category, of course, and lets companies move beyond just measuring pageviews, click-throughs, and subscriber rates. They can see and analyze where consumers are engaging with their campaign efforts all over the Internet, and gauge consumer reaction to them.
Companies like American Express, Best Buy, and Dell no longer have to wait until after campaigns are completed to measure their success, or, worse, take a guess based on poking around the Internet. They can track how campaigns are doing from the time they launch. Wider availability of the CM Toolbox is scheduled for Q1 of 2009.
We’re really excited here at AideRSS for our technology to be part of the Toolbox, and think PostRank engagement analysis is an essential part of how companies should connect with and better serve their audiences.

Additionally, the Toolbox also gives advertisers greater confidence in spending online. This is even more important in an uncertain economic climate, since marketing spending is often among the first slashed. This is despite the fact that it’s been oft-proven that companies that invest in marketing during economic uncertainty reap significant benefits from it.
Hey, glad we could help.
