CM Summit - Federated Media Publishing Get Satisfaction

A suggestion we received, and which we think is a great idea (thanks, Brian!) is to extend our tutorial series. We’ve made videos on PostRank’s basic features, but the suggestion was to create targeted tutorials, like “better reputation management with PostRank”, for example.

Really, we’d like to answer, in a few scenarios, “But what can PostRank do for me?” We hear from social media and marketing folks a lot, not surprisingly, but would love to hear from folks in other domains as well. What do you do? How have you been using PostRank functionality? What challenges do you wish you could solve (and hope PostRank can help)?

So what are your requests? What topics, industries, job functions, or interests would you like to apply PostRank to to save time and increase your productivity? We’re all ears!

Can’t promise to be able to match the creative genius of Common Craft, but I’ll do my best. :)

Our sites are currently down while we get ready to launch some very exciting new stuff. We’ll be back up again in no time.

Stay tuned!

I have a guest post up at 47hats.com!

Striking a balance of user needs in technology development.

Read! Comment! Argue with me! I already know what everyone around here thinks, so I yearn for fresh, crisp new opinions and ideas.

Ilya talks about PostRank

Joseph’s interview with Ilya on the ProPR site is live: AideRSS’ Ilya Grigorik Explains PostRank

We’ve discovered an additional benefit of the interviews — their function as practice for explaining what we do. (Kinda like reading something you’ve written out loud to determine if it makes any sense outside of your own head.)

Soon we’ll be smooth like news anchors! :)

I’m a big fan of language, but I freely admit there are areas where English falls short. There are some key descriptions and subtleties (especially as they relate to the human condition) that we anglophones just stumble over most inelegantly.

Many other languages, however, have fabulous terms that get my heartiest support for stealing and adding to our lexicon. I have found such a term! (Ok, fine, Ilya sent me the post since my Google Alerts hadn’t delivered it yet… Keener.)

Le filtrage social comme remède à l’infobésité

And there you have it: l’infobésité - information obesity. Except it loses a certain something once translated, no?

I don’t know who coined the phrase, but I doff my hat to you, monsieur or madame. You have done a service to the online world. :)
