Each new tag that you add to a feed creates a channel. A channel is a group of feeds with a similar topic or theme. For example, all your favourite feeds about Ruby programming, or about photography.

All feeds tagged with that word or phrase are automatically added to the channel. On the My Channels page, all the tags you’ve created are displayed, along with a count of how many feeds are in each channel. There is also an All channel that contains all of the feeds you’ve added to your account.

To the right of each channel’s tag word there is a series of buttons for popular RSS readers. You can export that channel to your favourite RSS reader just by clicking one of the buttons. The feed will be added to your subscriptions in the reader with the PostRank and word filtering customizations you’ve added intact.

If you would like to add the subscription elsewhere, to access the URL for each channel feed, simply click the tag link, then copy the URL from the browser’s address bar when the page refreshes.
