Account Sign Up
To sign up for an account on our site, click the sign up link at the top right of the homepage.
Signing Up with an Email Address
Clicking the sign up link will take you to the Sign up page. You’ll need an email address to create an account. And yes, we will email you. But don’t worry, you’ll only receive one email from us when you sign up. The sign-up email will welcome you and confirm your successful account creation.
After that, the only times you’ll ever get email from us are if you request a password reset, if you need help with account management (like changing the email address that’s associated with your account or deleting your account), or if there’s a major system change.
Signing Up with a Yahoo! or Google Account
If you would prefer to sign up on the site with your existing Yahoo! or Google account, click either the Yahoo! or Google Login/Signup buttons on the right side of the Sign up page.
Clicking either of the buttons will take you to a Yahoo! or Google sign in page, where you will complete their account confirmation process using your Yahoo! or Google account username and password.
After you complete the sign-up/login fields, you will be returned to the PostRank website, where you’ll enter your preferred email address (presumably from Yahoo! or Gmail), and agree to the Terms of Service, then click Continue.
Success! You now have a PostRank account, and will be taken to the Settings section to complete your profile. Don’t worry, if you’re concerned about privacy, the only field you have to complete is Nickname, and that doesn’t even have to be your real name. Of course, the more information you provide, the easier it is for the community to get to know you.
If you’ve wandered off the homepage and find yourself on the Login page instead, but don’t have an account yet, that’s okay. There’s a Sign up link there, too. (And you can always click the PostRank logo in the site header to get back to the homepage from anywhere on the site.)
Login
You can login to the site in one of two ways, using the email address and password you used to create your account, or by using OpenID.
With OpenID you don’t have to create an account with an email address, and can login using an existing account you have with another site or service, like myOpenID, Flickr, or Wordpress. (The Yahoo! and Google logins are OpenID, too.)
Both ways of logging in will enable you to access all of your feed subscriptions, topics, and profile, as well as all the site’s functionality.
If you had an account on our old aiderss.com site, you should still be able to login with the same email address and password or OpenID as you did before. If you have any issues doing so, please let us know.
